My Story
Hey!​
My name's Owen, and I write books.
Oh, you expected something more? Well then, I guess I can ramble a little about my story.

I've always loved reading, primarily fantasy but a little sci-fi in there as well. The stories I gravitate to are the ones that *feel* fantastical - the ones that set your imagination alight. I've read most of the greats, but i've found myself gravitating towards the more modern reinventions of things; Joe Abercrombie for his character work and grittiness, Adrian Tchaikovsky for his incredible worldbuilding, and Steven Erikson for his moving depth of emotion.

Those stories were a key part of my adult life and affected me deeply, but my reading only became voracious when I found the progression fantasy sub-genre. Cradle seemed like a book written specifically for me, and then once i'd devoured all of that, I moved onto Bastion and Iron Prince. With those under my belt I delved into litRPG, and the rest is history, as they say. After a couple of years of reading all of this, I started writing myself, and found the process more rewarding than I could have ever expected.

So now here I am, with a website, a newsletter, a trilogy of books currently being published, a short-story hanging around, and a new series in development just waiting for readers to get excited about.

This is what I love doing, and I'd love it if you would come on this journey with me. Here's to the future - to more expansive worlds, exciting adventures, maybe a little bit of grittiness in there to keep things fresh, and above it all; interesting characters that you can invest in.
